Coolscupting Less Invasive To Your Mind And Body

We have more control over our bodies than we ever have before and yet 56% of Americans say they want to lose weight. Eighteen percent of Americans want to lose “a lot” of weight. Fortunately, we have options.

Whether you’re in it for the big change or you just want some body contouring or to have a little cellulite removal done, there are new fat removal options on the market that offer an alternative to liposuction that are less painful and less invasive. You can look into laser liposuction or a new procedure called cryolipolysis; or in laymen’s terms, coolsculpting.

  • What is it?
  • Cryolipolysis treatment is used to destroy fat cells. It uses controlled cooling to near sub-zero temperatures for non-invasive localized reduction of fat deposits.

  • How long does it take?
  • For cool sculpting, each treatment lasts for approximately 1 hour per treated area and usually a couple of treatments are needed to deliver a 20-25% fat reduction in the treated areas. Coolsculpting results take two to four months to appear.

  • How effective is it?
  • In one study of cool sculpting patients, improvements were seen in 86% of treated subjects. The immediate results achieved by coolsculpting are more subtle than those of liposuction. It’s important to remain realistic about results when comparing invasive and less invasive procedures. Of course, patients can undergo coolsculpting a second or third time to achieve their desired results.

While the procedure was being studied from 2010 to 2012, the popularity of cool sculpting grew dramatically. There were 823% more treatment cycles delivered in 2012 than in 2010 and a growing demand for the procedure among men. Interest in less invasive options like laser liposuction and coolsculpting continues to grow as treatment options advance. The cryolipolysis benefits alone are worth exploring as it is considered a non-invasive procedure while laser liposuction is considered minimally invasive. Losing weight is stressful enough, why not do it in the least painful way?
